The Bertarelli Foundation's inaugural marine science symposium will feature some of the world's leading marine scientists as they present their work from a wide range of habitats, including open ocean, coral reefs and oceanic islands. The final session will consider how advances in marine science can be applied to marine conservation, and specifically help improve management of Marine Protected Areas around the world.

The Bertarelli Foundation has, for many years, provided global leadership in marine conservation and science. With each passing year, the reason for doing so becomes clearer to us. The threat that humankind poses to the ocean has not diminished and time is running out - not just to save the ocean, but to save ourselves.
